In 2076, a newscaster presenting at Vault 76 during the American tricentennial mentioned Amiens in tandem with other sites where the United States of America had fought to uphold its principal values throughout the nation's history.

Amiens is based on the real world city of Amiens, France and its namesake engagement, the Battle of Amiens. This was the first conflict in the Hundred Days Offensive, which directly led to the Armistice with Germany and the end of World War I.
