Behind the scenes
- The name of this weapon in the editor is "uselessHeavy."
- The Chauchat is a reference to the real world French-made Chauchat light machine gun, used by the French Army (and versions of it by the U.S. Army) during World War I. It was infamously known for unreliability and frequent jamming, caused in part by manufacturing issues and muddy trench conditions, although these issues and thus the Chauchat's reputation primarily resulted from the U.S. version of the weapon.[Non-game 1][Non-game 2] The weapon's item description calls it "the worst machine gun ever" in reference to these issues.
