A tool is a miscellaneous item in Fallout.
Characteristics
A multi-use tool, containing various useful components, including pliers. Its user gains a 20% bonus to Repair when the item is used.

Fallout Demo
In the Fallout Demo, the item is called wire cutters[1] (in possession of Skippy) and can be used to disable Scrapheap's power generator. The two gangs then leave town and the demo ends.

- If Repair is tagged, the Vault Dweller will have one of these at the start.
- Mitch in the Hub's General Store has one.
- Doc Morbid at the Junktown hospital has one on his person.
- One in the Hall of the Dead in Necropolis, in the desk in a room to the west when using the main entrance.
- One in a locker on level one of the Glow.
- Two, in a locker/wall locker on level four of the Glow.
- Two in Morpheus's bookcase in the Tower of Doom.
