Background
Frederick was a member of the BioScience division of the Institute around 2178. His body of work consisted of leading the team that spearheaded the Institute's studies of the Forced Evolutionary Virus. Another BioScience doctor, Elliott knew that the Directorate had pre-approved his program and that Frederick had preemptively acquired samples of the bioweapon, which raised concerns in Elliott about the potential consequences of what they were doing.[1]
