Julius was a lead researcher working at Abraxodyne Chemical before the Great War.

Background

Julius raised several concerns regarding lab safety requirements and failing equipment within the company's research laboratories, but was rebuffed by the board of executives. The board insisted that Julius appear in a commercial for Abraxodyne, as an appearance from a company scientist would add authenticity, but Julius protested this decision until his safety concerns were addressed. Harold and Sheila clinically told him that his concerns had been noted. When Julius continued to protest, Harold coldly reminded him of his confidentiality agreement, as well as clauses in his contract to make certain media appearances. Julius eventually relented, while still trying to advocate for the lab technicians under him.[1]

During the filming of the commercial, Julius showed a clear lack of enthusiasm when reading the ad copy. The director asked Julius to put a little more "verve" into his performance, joking that Julius was overly accustomed to "being down in the lab all day." The director called for a five-minute break at one point, during which Julius consulted with Amrita, whom he was on good terms with. However, Amrita attempted to assure Julius that things would be alright, which Julius responded to with disappointment that she was falling for the company's lines. When they returned from the break, Julius interrupted his line reading with incredulity to the slogan being used.[2]

Later, after Amrita discovered the true nature of Project Meadow Breeze and how Abraxodyne had discretely entered weapons development, she commented that "Julius was practically spelling it out to me all along," in reference to the signs she had missed and her frustration in not realizing the truth sooner.[3]

Appearances

Julius is mentioned only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Burning Springs update.
