fallout

Postal Square is a location in the Financial District of Boston in 2287.

Background

Before the Great War, Postal Square was serviced by a metro station. By 2287, the station entrance has collapsed and the square has been occupied by the Gunners, who use the Joe's Spuckies as a base of operations to defend against super mutant incursions from the south.[Non-game 1]

Layout

It contains a few Gunners, an inaccessible subway station, and Joe's Spuckies.

Notes

There is a brahmin in the middle of the square next to a feed trough behind the subway station. It is one of the few domesticated animals to be found in Boston outside of Diamond City.

Appearances

Postal Square appears only in Fallout 4.

Behind the scenes

Postal Square is based on the real world location of Post Office Square.

Surrounded by ruined and impassable skyscrapers, this Gunner stronghold is well defended with turrets as the Gunners attempt to knock back Super Mutant incursions to the south, where most of the mines are.
While the Post Office Station is closed permanently, Joe's Spuckies is open and used as the Gunner's base of operations. It has a good supply of ammo and Caps."
