Sledge was a member of the Disciples prior to 2287.
Background
Sledge had an issue with respect within the gang, often questioning the decisions of Nisha, their leader. However, this behavior led to him learning things "the hard way." A newer member of the gang, Samuel, later exhibited similar behavior. Although he did not know what happened "back then," Nisha posited that Samuel would have to learn a lesson just like Sledge did if he kept up his attitude.[1]
