Bee was a newly-hired park ranger working for the National Park Service in Shenandoah National Park before the Great War.

Background

Bee's first day of work in Shenandoah was on October 18, 2077. She believed parts of the park to be in disrepair, and had a particular focus on the Steel Jack statues throughout the area. On her first day, Bee wandered off to explore a trail near the Slumber Mill Motel. She also snuck off the next day to explore again, and shortly afterward received an "earful" about it. Bee was further "chewed out" for this again on October 20.[1]

Bee believed that Chief Pilker was sending his "stooges" Hailey and Matthews to monitor her behavior. Chief Pilker reportedly told Bee that she should be focused on her job at all times, stifling her wanderlust, and that the park was "too dangerous" for someone to go off on their own without warning. However, Bee managed to make Hailey and Matthews lose sight of them, allowing them to escape their surveillance and relax at a trail hill overlook.[1]

When the newest Steel Jack statue was delivered to the swampy southeastern part of the park (near what would later become the abandoned convoy), it broke through the boardwalk just as Bee predicted, due to weighing 1.5 tons. Bee was vindicated by the subsequent "disaster" of the boardwalk breaking. That same day, on October 22, she decided to perform maintenance on the trail leading to the rocky overlook. She also planned on hiding her previous diary entries throughout the park and stashing a small trinket cache near a rest area, hoping to inspire similarly adventurous hikers.[1]

Although Bee scoffed at Chief Pilker's previous warnings, she ultimately found herself wishing she had followed his advice. After the outbreak of the Great War on October 23, while at the trail hill overlook, Bee was pinned by a fallen tree and trapped with no one around to help her. She was quickly assailed by cold and hunger,[2] and she eventually died under the tree. Her skeleton still remains there as of 2105.

Appearances

Bee's skeleton appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.
